UO to Be RebornBut if that’s not enough sometime after it’s release the 9th UO expansion pak will be coming out called Stygian Abyss. This will have a new race to play “Gargoyles” plus new dungeons, and all that fun stuff. So keep an eye open for both releases. May 27 What I've Been Up Too...Well any mmo gamer should've heard by now SOE acquired the assets of Sigil Games Online on 5/15/2007. So SoE now 100% owns Vanguard: Saga of Heroes. They promised no major changes, no NGE that happed to Star Wars: Galaxies. Hopefully they'll fix the performance issues that's still haunting Vangaurd. My main game I'm playing right now tho is Lord of the Rings Online. A new mmo that is 1 month old and so far a VERY good one. One of the best mmo's to come out in a long time and the fact it's based off LotR is even more freakin' sweet. Last I read it was the #1 selling PC game in the US and also Europe. Doubt it'll be a WoW killer (could be wrong) but I feel it can give it a run for it's money. Of course I still play my free mmo's off and on, plus messing with Free Style Street Basketball. Highly thinking of messing with Sword of the New World later this summer when it comes to the US. The first mmo that allows you to control up to 3 different characters at once on one account. Yep you can pretty much be your own group. Closed beta starts June 4th 2007 so you might want to go ahead and register for it. Well that's about it for now. Please becareful with the fireworks and firecrackers!!  June 27 Stephen King and Marvel Team-UpStephen King and Marvel Comics are teaming-up to bring out a Dark Tower comic series in Feb 2007. The 1st of 6 issues will be released in Feb and the the last will come out in July 2007. A hard-cover edition will follow sometime in Oct of that year.
But don't worry, it's not a comic verison of the Dark Tower novel series. Infact it's a taling of the "Origin of the Notorious Gunslinger". King will be the Executive Editor and Creative Director with Jae Lee as the artist. EA Buys MythicJust found out a few days ago that EA is buying/bought Mythic Entertainment the company behind the mmo Dark Age of Camelot. Not sure if this is a wise move on the part of Mythic though. After all EA hasn't done to well with mmo's at all. They messed up UO, The Sims Online was pretty much a flop, they shut-down Earth and Beyond, shut-down a racing mmo. Plus cancelled at least three UO2's before they got a chance to come out, not even sure they made it to a true beta.
Mythic Entertainment will be renamed EA Mythic and they claim they still have all-rights to DAoC. We'll have to wait and see how all this goes and if it affects DAoC and the upcoming Warhammer Online game at all.
June 24 Hi, I'm Peter Parker....As many may know that in the new Marvel Comics summer event "Civil War", Spider-Man unmasked for the world to see just a bit over a week ago. It was all over the internet news and yes even the tv news. So you might want to stop by your local comic shop and see if they have any #2's left, heck get the whole mini-seriese so far it's been a good story. "A group a super-heroes filming a reality tv show attacked a group of super-villains that had escaped from the super villain facility at Ryker's Island prison during a massive breakout. One villain named Nitro let off a massive explosion that killed most of the "New Warriors" and hundreds of people including kids at a nearby elementary school. The Government proposed the Superhuman Registration Act, wanting all super-powered beings to register as living weapons of mass destruction and requiring all costumed heroes to unmask themselves before the government and subject themselves to federally mandated standards." The Flash ReturnsThe Flash is back. But where did he go in the first place? Don't ask me, I just started back on comics this past week.  Who is this Flash? Is it Berry, Wally or someone else? Guess ya got to read it and see.  I just hope they don't goof up the Flash, he has been one of my favorite DC Comics super-heroes for many years. Tho it does seem like it's gonna be a very good story, just hope it stays that way. |
